For families with a school meeting, a review or a new practitioner ahead

Explain it without starting again.

Every new person asks for the story from the beginning. Gestalts is an app for parents that keeps what you have noticed over months and years, and helps you prepare a summary in your own words for the conversation ahead. You read and edit it before anyone else sees it.

What Gestalts helps with

An introduction for a new speech pathologist

Choose the notes and dates you want to include. Prepare drafts an introduction for someone meeting your child for the first time. You read it, change what you want and decide how to share it.

Formal clinical records stay with your practitioners. The introduction is your account of what you have noticed.

A summary for a school conversation

Before a meeting with a teacher, prepare a practical summary of what helps at home and the questions you want to ask. Afterwards, keep a note of what was said, ready for next time.

A look back before a review

If a review of your child’s supports is coming up, look back through your own dated notes for the examples you want to give in your own words.

Gestalts does not determine eligibility, funding or outcomes, and a summary is not an assessment. Ask the organisation running the review what they need from you.

An update before the next session

Prepare an appointment update from the notes since your last visit and the questions you saved during the week, so the session can start with your questions rather than a recap.

Bring your speech pathologist in when it helps

You can connect with a speech pathologist, choose the types of notes they can see and remove access when you want. Sharing a report through the portal needs Connect. Your speech pathologist uses the portal at no charge during the current activation phase. Clinical decisions stay with them.

Take your notes with you

On every plan you can export the notes you select without AI rewriting. Your notes are yours to keep. Start free through the Gestalts web portal, or see how the app works.

Common questions

Clear answers

What is in an introduction for a new practitioner?
The notes, dates and questions you select, drafted into an introduction for you to read and edit. It is written from your information and is not a clinical assessment.
Can I use a summary for a school meeting?
Yes. Prepare includes a summary for a school conversation, drafted from your notes for you to review before you share it. What a school does with it is a conversation between you and the school.
Can I use a summary for a funding review or an application?
A summary is a parent-reviewed description of what you have noticed, drafted from your own notes. It is not an assessment and it is not designed for eligibility or funding processes. Ask the organisation, your plan manager or your practitioners what they need.
Is a summary a clinical report?
No. It is an AI-assisted draft of your own notes that you check and edit. Assessment, diagnosis and clinical interpretation belong with qualified professionals, and formal clinical records stay in their systems.
Who can see a summary?
Only the people you share it with. Sharing a summary through the portal needs Connect and your permission, and you can remove access later. You can also export the notes you select yourself.
