For families exploring gestalt language processing (GLP)
Keep the phrases, moments and questions you want to discuss.
Gestalts is an Australian parent-built app for saving your child's words, phrases and everyday moments. If your family is exploring gestalt language processing, use it to keep your own notes together and prepare questions for a speech pathologist. You do not need to know what a phrase means to save it.

What Gestalts helps with
Save the phrase and what was happening
Write down the words you heard, the date and the details you want to remember. Keep your question alongside the moment, without needing to interpret it.
Illustrative example: “Tuesday, after the park: said ‘Let’s go again’ while holding the car door. Question for our speech pathologist: what should I notice next time?”
This is an example of a parent's note, not an interpretation of a child's communication or language stage.
Prepare for a first or next appointment
You can start while waiting for an appointment or between visits. Find the notes and questions you want to discuss, then choose which ones to include in an export or summary.
You do not have to save every moment or connect with a practitioner to use the note-saving tools.
Choose the plan for what you want to do
Starter includes saving notes and exporting selected notes without AI rewriting. Prepare adds generated summaries and reports for you to review. Connect adds practitioner connections and connected sharing.
Compare current plans and prices in Australian dollars. You can start free through the Gestalts web portal.
Decide what another person can see
With Connect, you decide whether to connect with a speech pathologist and which types of notes they can see. New notes can follow those sharing settings. You can make individual notes private and change or remove access.
Your speech pathologist remains responsible for clinical interpretation and decisions. Formal clinical records stay in their own system.
Keep education separate from clinical advice
The optional GLP Companion provides general educational information about gestalt language processing and Natural Language Acquisition (NLA). It does not assess your child or identify a stage.
Gestalts is not a health or clinical record, therapy or an emergency service. For questions about your child's communication, speak with a qualified speech pathologist. Read our safety information and privacy policy.
Use the parts that fit your family
Gestalts began with one family's experience of gestalt language processing. Its core note-saving and appointment-preparation tools are not limited to GLP families.
