We understand

Notes scattered everywhere. Phone notes, calendar entries, voice memos. Stitching fragments together for your next appointment.

You've explained it perfectly. They still don't get it. The format just doesn't match how they learn.

Your therapist showed you something brilliant three weeks ago. Now you're in the moment and can't remember.

New practitioner. New school. NDIS renewal. Every time, recounting everything from scratch.

The wait can feel long. Gestalts helps you capture what you notice and prepare clear notes for the first appointment.

Your speech pathologist sees your child for one session. You see them for the rest of the week. But there's no easy way to share what happens in between.
The Solution
How it works

No more scrambling to remember what your child said last Tuesday. Voice notes and quick entries capture language moments in seconds - while you're living them, not hours later when details fade.

When you're trying to understand a phrase or pattern, the GLP Companion helps explain GLP concepts in parent-friendly language. It's an educational guide - not a replacement for your SLP.

New therapist? NDIS review? School meeting? In a few clicks you can generate a clear summary of your child's journey - milestones, gestalts, and patterns all in one shareable document.

Record a play session and organise observations about interaction patterns. Use the summary to notice what happened and decide what to discuss with your child's SLP.

Some concepts don't land through speech alone. Create visual stories with your child's avatar to explain routines, transitions, or new experiences - the way gestalt processors naturally understand.
Tailored Workflows
Whether you're a parent log-tracking daily moments, a therapist aligning on goals, or an educator facilitating communication, Gestalts brings everyone together.
Capture voice notes, log language samples, and organize observations between therapy sessions. Stop scrambling to remember what happened before your next appointment.

Who we are
I'm Tim. Our daughter Olivia was born in May 2020, right in the middle of COVID lockdowns. By four, she had been identified as a gestalt language processor.
We built every feature in Gestalts because we needed it ourselves. The Storybook exists because a picture story worked when verbal instruction didn't. Memories exists because we were told to "write things down" and kept losing our notes. The Companion exists because some nights are hard and no one's awake.
We're not speech therapists. We're parents who built tools to survive the hours between sessions. What helped us might help you.
FAQ
Gestalt language processing (GLP) is a natural way some children acquire language. Instead of learning word by word, they learn in "chunks" or whole phrases, often from TV shows, songs, or things they hear around them.
It's not a disorder. It's just a different path to language, and research suggests up to 84% of autistic children are gestalt processors (Blanc, 2012).
Only a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist can properly assess your child's language development. What we can say is that many parents notice things like:
If this sounds familiar, it's worth raising with your speech therapist.
No. Full stop. Gestalts is a companion to your therapy journey, not a substitute for it.
Your Speech-Language Pathologist brings the expertise. We help you arrive prepared, implement their strategies more consistently, and feel less alone during the hard moments.
Most speech apps focus on word-by-word learning or AAC. They weren't built for gestalt processors.
Gestalts is the first app designed specifically around how GLP children actually learn. Our tracking is built around gestalts and stages, not just vocabulary lists. Our coaching understands the NLA framework.
Absolutely. In fact, that's one of the reasons we built it.
Gestalts helps you use that time productively: learning about GLP, trying strategies at home, tracking what you notice, and building a record you can share when you finally get in.
The Gestalts Portal is a free web-based tool for speech pathologists. It gives practitioners session-prep summaries, structured activity assignment, caseload management, messaging, and direct access to parent-captured observations and language samples.
When your speech pathologist uses the portal, everything connects: activities they assign appear on your phone, observations you capture flow to their dashboard, and session summaries are shared automatically.
No. The mobile app works as a standalone tool for tracking your child's language journey, getting educational guidance, and generating reports.
But when your practitioner activates the free portal, the experience becomes integrated — assigned activities, shared observations, session summaries, and connected communication all in one place.
Yes. The Gestalts Portal is completely free for speech pathologists. No trial period, no credit card required, no feature limits. We believe better tools for practitioners lead to better outcomes for families.
Yes. We built Gestalts with privacy as the foundation, not an afterthought.
